CURRENT AFFAIRS :-
1. Jos Bottler & Sidra Ameen named as "ICC Player of the Month award" for November 2022.
2. Uttarakhand Plans Genetic Enhancement of Its Indigenous Badri Cow.
3. Three medicinal plant species found in the Himalayas have made it to International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species following a recent assessment. Meizotropis pellita has been assessed as ‘critically endangered’, Fritillaria cirrhosis as ‘vulnerable’, and Dactylorhiza hetaireia as ‘endangered’.
4. 20th Edition of the Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival kicked off in Kathmandu, Nepal. This year, the festival was held from December 8 to 12, 2022.
5. Indian and Chinese troops clashed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Twang sector of Arunachal Pradesh on December 9 and the face-off resulted in “minor injuries to a few personnel from both sides”, the Indian Army said.
6. Arunachal government launched 7th edition of ‘Sava Aaker Dewar 2.0’ campaign.
7. Renowned Marathi Lavenia singer, Sallekhana Chavan has been passed away at 92 in Mumbai due to age-related ailments. She was known as 'Lavinia Saranya' (Queen of Lavinia) for her singing contribution to the art genre.
8. China is the first country to gather its six astronauts in space station.
9. The first G20 "Finance and Central Bank Deputies" (FCBD) meeting has held during 13-15 December 2022 in Bengaluru. This meeting which has mark the start of discussions on the Finance Track agenda under the Indian G20 Presidency has hosted jointly by the Ministry of Finance.
10. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated Mope International Airport in Goa, which has been named after former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. The new airport, which is about 35 km from capital city Panaji, can handle 44 lakh passengers annually. Its capacity can be raised to over 3 crore passengers per year after expansion.
